The Much Awaited Water Fun Event "Lagos Water Regatta" Held

The fun filled water-based event depicts the socio-cultural, traditional folklores and occupational aspects of the people of Lagos State.

This year’s edition of the annual Lagos Water Regatta was held on Sunday, April 19 at the Regatta Village, Oyinkan Abayomi Drive, Ikoyi Lagos, with the theme “Celebrating the Aquatic Splendour of Lagos”.  See more beautiful pictures when you continue pls......

The much anticipated event was a convergence of Lagosians, home and abroad. 

In its sixth edition, the regatta featured a parade of boats and yachts, jet skis display, including large fishing boats, ferries, barges and other marine vessels that were beautifully adorned. 

This year’s edition is the valedictory version for its initiator, Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola.
