Chimamanda Adichie’s Father Release From Kidnappers

According to new report, international award winning Nigeria author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s family rejoice over their father’s release from kidnappers.
The Half of a Yellow Sun writer’s father was abducted on Saturday on his way to Anambra state.
He was freed last night around 8pm. The man, Professor James Nwoye had been held for three years.
The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of N50m but as of right now, reporters can’t ascertain if a ransom was paid or not.
Professor Nwoye was the first professor of statistics in Nigeria and was also the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) before he retired.
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a Nigerian novelist and short story writer. She has been called “the most prominent” of a “procession of critically acclaimed young Anglophone authors.
