Ondo State workers
have issued a threat to begin an unending strike on Wednesday over non-payment
of outstanding and deductions made from their salaries by the state government.
The workers
said they would stop working until the deductions from their March and April
salaries were paid with the May and June 2015 full salaries.
Speaking on
behalf of the workers, Chairman of the Joint Public Service Negotiating Council
(JNC), Comrade Sunday Adeleye, said the workers decided to embark on the
planned strike after the state government allegedly failed to respond after
issuing a seven-day ultimatum for the payment without delay.
Adeleye
said" "We have been meeting with the representatives of the state government
since last week after issuing a statement of a seven-day ultimatum and it all
ended in a deadlock.
