Another
source, however, said the baby fell off the back of his mother during a scuffle
occasioned by an argument. It could not be confirmed what led to the argument,
which degenerated to a scuffle that resulted in the death of the two-year-old
boy. However, the remains of the deceased had since been deposited at the
General Hospital mortuary in the town for post-mortem examination after
pictures were taken.
The police authorities
in the state have transferred the matter to the Criminal Investigation and
Intelligence Department, CIID, of the state Police Command to probe the cause
of the fight that led to the boy’s death.
