According to news emanating
from South Africa, one of President Zuma’s aid Sergeant N J Magwaza was shot
dead.
The aid guard was fatally
shot in eNtumeni, Eshowe, at about 1.30am on Monday, October 26 2015.
Police spokesman, Thulani
Zwane, said Magwaza was apparently stationed at Zuma’s Nkandla home, but was
not at work at the time.
Zwane said the president’s
Bodyguard was killed at his house in eNtumeni area Eshowe.
“He was attacked by an
unknown male and shot,” Zwane stressed.
According to IOL News, the
assailant had tried to torch the rondavel in which Magwaza had been sleeping,
but the fire had been extinguished. The attacker reportedly fled with Magwaza’s
firearm.
Eshowe police are investigating
the murder but no arrest has been made.
The Richards Bay organised
crime intelligence unit are also trying to unravel the mystery around the
killing.
It would be recalled that
one of Premier Senzo Mchunu’s bodyguards-Xolani Nkosi was also killed in July
within the eNtumeni municipality.
