During a seven-hour siege body
of a second woman has been found at an apartment complex where the Paris
attacks ringleader was killed.
Authorities originally
thought two people had died in the raid, but the third body was found in the
rubble overnight.
Prosecutors confirmed
Abdelhamid Abaaoud, 28, died after a fierce shootout with police who stormed
the flat in northern Paris early on Wednesday.
Prosecutors are yet to
reveal the identifies of the two female bodies.
But Hasna Ait Aitboulahcen,
Abaaoud's 26-year-old cousin, is believed to be the woman who blew herself up
with an explosives vest during the raid.
A handbag containing a
passport in her name was found in the debris, prosecutors said. Hundreds of
heavily armed officers raided the apartment complex in Saint Denis at dawn on
Wednesday, triggering the massive firefight and explosions.
