of the devastating Pakistan school massacre, as the Taliban issued a chilling
warning that it will carry out more atrocities, boasting: "This was just a
trailer".
One-hundred and thirty-two
children and nine teachers died on Tuesday after Taliban fighters launched a
brutal assault on a military school in the city of Peshawar.
The gang of nine insurgent
gunmen hit the school with suicide bombs and bullets during a terrifying
attack, which also left more than 100 people injured.
According to AFP, the
executions, carried out by hanging at a prison in the city of Kohat Survivors
of the assault, in which the majority of the more than 150 victims were
children, said they were 'happy' to hear of the executions, with one father
saying the hangings should have been carried out in public squares rather than
behind prison doors.
The attack was Pakistan's
deadliest and shocked a country already scarred by nearly a decade of
extremism.
