The Left Over Doughnuts In The Bin Could've Been Given Away?

Thousands of doughnuts were dumped in the bins at the back of a Krispy Kreme branch at Avonmeads Retail Park in Bristol. See SWNS story SWNUTS; The Krispy Kreme doughnut company defended its waste policy (thurs 11th Feb) after a shocking photo showing bins overflowing with thousands of their unsold products. Dozens of clear bin bags filled to the brim with the sweet treats were dumped outside one of their branches at the weekend. Bosses said they were from nine stores and 65 other 'cabinets' in one area and built up because they had been unable to access their recycling unit for three days. But critics slammed the waste as "disgusting" and said the chain - which only sells doughnuts baked on the day - should reduce waste or give the food to needy people. Businessman Chris Cleeves spotted the waste outside his local Krispy Kreme branch at Avonmeads Retail Park in Bristol on Monday and took a photograph. The 43-year-old said: "I was going into a shop nearby for a coffee and saw it out of the corner of my eye around the back of Krispy Kreme. "It took me a second to realise what it was. I was disgusted. There are no words for these upsetting pictures of discarded Krispy Kreme doughnuts
Yummy Krispy Kreme doughnuts in the bin, when thousands of people out there are hungry or do not mind having to eat them.  Even their staff could have taken them home but I heard staffs are not allowed, what a waste!
The tear-jerking pictures show dozens of the doughy pleasure foods hurled into overflowing bins outside the Avonmeads Retail Park in Bristol.

The Bosses said they were left over from nine stores and sixty-five other ‘cabinets’ in one area and built up because they had been unable to access their recycling unit for three days.
