Sunday Oliseh
was in charge of the Super Eagles for seven months.
The former
Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has said that he turned down three offers from
two Southern African teams in order to focus more on his FIFA duties.
Oliseh, who
returned to the FIFA Technical Study Group (TSG) weeks after he quit the Super
Eagles job in February, had earlier declined a lucrative offer from an unnamed
Chinese club.
“The Nigerian
job was an eye-opener for me and I think I want to focus more on my job with
FIFA at the moment,” Oliseh said.
“There are
offers at the moment and I have turned down three teams from the Southern part
of Africa.”
Oliseh will
be at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil with the FIFA Technical Study Group.
“For a while
I’d love to analyse matches at international tournaments going on and learn the
latest trends in the game and also develop myself more,” the former Nigeria
captain added.
