NFF 1st Vice President,
Seyi Akinwunmi, who is also Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association,
on Monday led a delegation that included President of the Nigeria Referees
Association, Tade Azeez, and other chieftains of the Lagos State FA, receive
the team on arrival in Lagos.
The Nigeria U-20 team, the
Flying Eagles, have relocated to Lagos ahead of their final round Africa Cup of
Nations clash against Sudan.
Already Coach Emmanuel
Amuneke and his team have gotten down to business with close to two hours of
training at the Teslim Balogun Stadium ahead of Saturday game.
The U-17 World Cup winning
Coach later addressed the players, advising them to remain focused and
dedicated to the task ahead. He warned them not to be complacent against their
visitors on Saturday, stressing that the fixture is not won until after the
second leg had been played.
The 35-man Flying Eagles
delegation comprises 28 players and seven officials.
The final leg of their 2017
Africa U-20 Cup of Nations qualifying fixture with the North Africans, will be
played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.

Coach Emmanuel Amuneke and
his boys have already had their first training session on Monday evening.
The Flying Eagles won the
first leg in Khartoum 2-1. The overall winners of the tie, will qualify for
next year’s tournament in Zambia.
