Member Of Youth Corps Arrested For Sleeping With Married Women

The youth corps member who resides in Abuja was arraigned on a one-count charge of committing adultery with Mrs. Anozie.

Mr Anozie of Kaduna state said the defendant, knowing that he is legally married to Mrs Anozie, committed adultery with her on December 18, 2014.

The recent graduate completing his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Bonaventure, was arraigned in a Gudu Upper Area Court in Abuja on Monday for allegedly committing adultery.

The Eagle Online reports that the husband of his alleged lover, Mr Anozie, made a direct criminal complaint to the court against the defendant on March 24.

Husband Mr Anozie said he called Bonaventure on the phone and he confessed that he had sex with his wife once. According to Mr Anozie, he “warned the defendant to stay away from his wife, but his warnings fell on deaf ears.” 

Mr Anozie went further to explain that the then youth corps member on August 18, 2015 sent transport money to Mrs Anozie, who was enrolled in a tertiary institution in Anambra State, to visit him at his residence and she did. She stayed with Bonaventure in his house from the said date till August 28.

He said Bonaventure repeatedly committed adultery with Mrs Anozie despite his warnings. He explained that the act wounded his “heart beyond measure”.
