“Akeredolu make peace with Tinubu before governor’s inauguration”

A legal practitioner, Olukayode Ajule, has urged the Ondo state governor-elect, Rotimi Akeredolu, to make peace with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and other influential leaders of the APC across the country ahead of the governor’s inauguration come 24, February, 2017.
Olukayode Ajule, says now is the best time for Ondo state governor-elect, Rotimi Akeredolu, to make peace with Bola Tinubu

Ajule urges Akeredolu to use this opportunity to serve the Ondo people diligently by justifying their faith in him.
According to leadership, Ajule, who said despite the circumstances and drama surrounding the emergence of the governor-elect as the party’s candidate, the best time to forge unity is now.

He said the emergence Akeredolu at that party primary, no doubt, underscored the true nature of the people of Ondo state.

Ajule said: “I am pleased to write to you today, the first day of the Year 2017. Do accept my best wishes and prayers for a wonderful and fulfilling new year.

“As you may have realised by now, the realities of governance differ from the assumptions of campaign promises and the task ahead requires objectivity.
“Of particular interest to me is your recent comment wherein you agreed to the fact that governor Olusegun Mimiko, really worked in the state.
“The challenge therefore is for you to not see your tenure as a competition but rather that of further deepening the road map set by the outgoing-governor during his eight years in office.’’

He appealed to Akeredolu to use this opportunity to serve the Ondo people diligently by justifying their faith in him.
Meanwhile, the travails of national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu in the ruling party are far from over as top chieftains of the party have turned against him in Kogi state.

Daily Post reports that the chieftains have threatened to cut down Tinubu’s influence in the north-central state.

The hatred followed reports that Tinubu is trying to get his candidate James Faleke to replace late Minister of State for Labour, James Ocholi.

This has angered the Kogi party chieftains who have vowed to block Faleke’s emergence and also cut down on Tinubu’s influence in the state.
