Multiple bomb explosions have rocked the city of Maiduguri, Borno State capital. The explosions which occurred at about 8.20pm on Sunday night around the Muna Garage area at the outskirts of the city, created serious panic in the area.
Commissioner of Police, Borno Command, Damian Chukwu confirmed the incident.
“There are some bomb blasts this night, our men are already at the scene,” he told NNN, promising to provide more detail as the rescue operation gets underway.
Maiduguri, epicentre of the Boko Haram insurgency madness has experienced relative peace until now.
