London Redeemed Pastor Undergo Backlash n Criticism For Demanding £2,000 Sacrificial Offering

Redeemed Christian Church of God Jesus House London Parish Pastor, Agu Irukwu, has being criticised by some members of his congregation for demanding £2,000 sacrificial offering.
According to reports, the Pastor started by requesting for members willing to give £2,000 to come forward, after which he requested that those with £1, 000 come forward. He eventually proceeded to say that anybody giving an offering of less than £250 will not be called forward as he doesn’t want to embarrass them due to the supposedly small amount.

According to Ono Bello, members of his congregation were mortified at his requests as there are personal stories of people struggling financially, with visa applications, to get on the property ladder and gain profitable employment and have not received any support from the church.

The Pastor, who was chosen in 2011 as “Britain’s Most Inspirational Black Person“, allegedly pays himself and other senior Pastors in the church a six-figure salary in Pounds according to Ono Bello.

  6. THEY SAY ASK AND YOU SHALL BE GIVEN THAT IS WHAT THE PASTOR IS DOING. ASKING ALL OF THE CRITICS SHOULD GO AND ASK

  7. There was no compulsion or threat in the request. He did not make it obligatory and I guess it was a simple request. I believe there was a need for the money in the church. Stop being unnecessarily critical. This reporter wasn't there when the request was made and could have added or subtracted from the way the pastor made the request. The reporter should stop being a dog in the manger and a busybody.

  11. Sometimes women put themselves in compromising situation and get abused by 'powerful' men and these women do not run, shout, or report the offence because they feel they have nowhere else to go because their jobs and livelihood will be at risk. You have to ask what is most important. Their dignity which if they lose will never be regained, or money which only lasts for a short while. Why using this parallel? People who feel they must defend or tolerate blatant unchristian behaviour by so-called leaders do so because they feel they have nowhere else to go. Hence why someone once said Religion is the opium of the people. Jesus was never about material riches, but what we see now is that for professed followers of Jesus, IT IS ALL about money. Love of money is the root of all EVIL. The message is completely changed. Nobody is taking notice and nobody is listening. Remember the simple and clear message that "man must live not by bread alone, but..." (I'll let you finish it yourself because you should know what it says). If you're on a train that is not well maintained and it rattling, you better get off or the end will be catastrophic.

  12. What is the embarrassment in giving less than 250 this is really bad which means the more you give more acceptance and recognition will be given the less do not deserve any, discrimination right in the church.
