Home- based Super Eagles winger, Joseph Osadiaye, has been ruled out of the ongoing 2017 Nigeria Professional Football League Invitational Tournament in Kano due to a knee injury, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The Enyimba star is however hopeful he will be fit enough to be part of the team’s last leg of preparation for the African Nations Championship which will take place in January next year, in Morocco.

“It’s not something that is serious and I should join the the rest of the team in camp after the NPFL Invitational ,” Osadiaye disclosed to Completesportsnigeria.com.
“I picked up the injury during one of our pre-season games. It was really a bad time to get injured, but I’m taking things easy for now.
” I just hope I will be fit enough to fight for a place in the team before CHAN 2018.”
Aside Osadiaye,  Katsina United midfielder Destiny Ashade is also doubtful for the competition in Kano as he is also battling with a knee injury.
Head coach of the team, Salisu Yusuf is yet to name replacements for the two players.
