N’Delta Militants Accuse Buhari of Double Standards,

A coalition of Niger Delta militants on Thursday accused President Muhammadu Buhari of double standards in the handling of security issues in the country.
The militants are not happy with the plan by the Federal Government to withdraw $1bn from the Excess Crude Account to fight the Boko Haram insurgents in the North-East.

They said the plan disregarded the peace accord signed with the people of the Niger Delta, in an open letter to the President.

The IG of Police, Ibrahim Idris has asked Nigerian students to partner with the Police Force in ending crimes in the country.

He added that the Police will help end criminal activities on campuses, however, information, where gotten, will be useful.

The Emir of Kano, Mohammed Sanusi II has asked Nigerian journalists to stop portraying the country in a bad light so that investors do not use that to run away.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari is planning to be the sole candidate during the 2019 elections.

The PDP declared that the plot by some of its members to form a parallel executive was being engineered by the APC.
