A former Governor of Ekiti state, Segun Oni has revealed yesterday that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has “tremendous’’ feelings of winning the upcoming governorship election that will come up on the 14th day of July, 2018.
He made the declaration in Abuja while speaking with journalists at the APC National Headquarters after picking the expression of interest form and nomination forms to contest the election.

Oni, who resigned recently as the deputy national chairman (South) of the party to contest in the election expressed the confidence that APC will surely defeat Fayose’s PDP in the election.

He said:
“We have tremendous goodwill out there in Ekiti; the goodwill for this party is there, it is over-flowing and I can tell you that we will win the state.” Besides, he said that the “stomach infrastructure’’ programme of the current administration in the state was a farce and a “coinage to say something and probably arouse the people.’’

“Forget about stomach infrastructure; we are more than that,’’ he said, adding that his administration would give priority to agriculture and bring innovation to governance.
He dispelled insinuations the he was the anointed candidate of the presidency and the APC leadership, saying “I belong to the camp of God, not to anybody’s camp.”

It is worthy of notice that it would be a great task for the APC party to beat Fayose’s PDP in the state asthe masses seem to be obsessed with the man of the people.
He is loved by all and move with people of the streets including traders, barbers among many,

The governor who declared he is contesting for the presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2019 elections paid a surprise visit to the popular barbing salon, opposite University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, yesterday.
