Libya’s national team
arrived in Uyo Friday evening, ahead of Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations
qualifier against the Super Eagles, but refused to stay at the hotel reserved
for them by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The Libyans arrived with a
50-man delegation, but declined the hotel Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, which was
reserved for them.
They, however, trained for
an hour at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium turf, before they departed for
their choice hotel.
Libya lead Group E with
four points from two games, while Nigeria are third with three points from two
games.
South Africa who host
Seychelles in the other group fixture is second with four points, but with an
inferior goal difference.
