Uche Nwosu, the Imo state
governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA), has stated that his
governorship bid in the state has been “signed, sealed and delivered.”
Nwosu, who is also the
son-in-law to the Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, made the comment on
Monday, February 4, alongside his deputy governorship candidate, Acho Ihim,
during their rally at Onuimo and Okigwe local government areas, Vanguard
reports.
Legit.ng gathers that Nwosu
urged the people of Imo not to forget President Muhammadu Buhari’s statement
during his recent visit to the state, telling them to vote for candidates of
their choice.
Nwosu insisted that it is
time for governance of the state to be taken over by young people.
He said: "My victory
has been signed, sealed and delivered. My victory has been positioned. God has
remembered the young people in Imo state.
“On the 16th of this month,
President Buhari remains the best candidate and he will win the presidential
election. I want you to vote for Buhari. He is the assurance to Igbo
presidency.
“On the 2nd of March, women
be prepared to defend your votes. The youths must be prepared to defend their
future.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng
previously reported that Uche Nwosu congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari
for the successful rally held in Imo state ahead of the presidential election.
Uche also commended
Governor Rochas Okorocha for successfully organising the event.
The commendation came hours
after a drama that played out at the event, in which Adams Oshiomhole, the
national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), told the crowd that
there was no alliance with the Action Alliance.
