Germany’s Sony Music
division has unveiled a massive statue of Beyonce which is created from the
promo photo for her Netflix special, “Homecoming.”
This is similar to what
Michael Jackson requested for when he was asked by record executives during the
promotion of his album History in 1995.
He said:
“Build a statue of me.”
Despite the statue posing
to cement Beyonce as an Iconic figure, singer/songwriter Dionne Warwick feels
she’s yet to arrive at that iconic status. In an interview, she said this about
Queen Bey:
“I love her to death and
can appreciate her talent. But that iconic status? It’s a long road [ahead].”
It is unclear who the
artiste behind the statue is, but it did receive a huge applause from the crowd
who witnessed the unveiling at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany.
The news of Beyonce’s next
album has been on for a while now, and seems to become more anticipated in this
part of the world, after the big news that Kiddominant is part of the new
project.
This information was
revealed by Davido via his Instagram page on Wednesday, April 17, 2019. An
obviously thrilled Davido couldn’t hide his joy as he shared a screenshot of
the track which the music producer helped create.
