Delta State Police command
arrests two suspects in connection with the ritual killing of an 18 year old
girl, Favour Ogheneyenrowho. The two suspects includes a prominent Abraka
herbalist, politician and chief, Kings Okpako aka Kuti, and a man who is said to
be the victims boyfriend.
The body of Ogheneyenrowho
was found tied up in a ‘Ghana-must-go’ bag and dropped at a refuse dump site
behind Ozoro Park in Abraka on June 18, 2019, with her pubic hair shaved off.
The police had been on the
trail of Henry Ikechukwu, who is Ogheneyenrowho’s boyfriend, with whom she was
last seen by her older sister, Maureen. .
He was eventually tracked
down and arrested on 28th of June, 2019 and upon nterrogation, he confessed to
have invited the deceased for an outing on 17th of June, 2019, from where he
lured her and handed her over to Kuti.
He said the ritualist gave
him the assignment to get the deceased for him. According to him, this is the
third lady he has handed over to him (Kuti), but the first death recorded so
far.
They are both in police
custody and will be arraigned in court.
