Officials Arrested For Forging Signature n Fraudulently Withdrawing 150k

AIFPU SUG officials arrested for forging dean’s signature and fraudulently withdrawing 150k from Union’s account.

The Dean, student affairs of the Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana (AIFPU) Afipko, Ebonyi state has ordered the arrest of the Treasurer and Financial Secretary of the Student Union Government (SUG) of the institution.

The Treasurer, Udo Justice Kalu, a HNDII BAM student who was earlier stripped of his position for not meeting the CGPA requirements after his result was released allegedly connived with the Financial secretary, Uzor Nnaemeke Abraham, a HND II ACC student who was asked by the student parliament to step aside over allegations of extortion and embezzlement of fund to scan and forge the dean student affairs signature and that of the SUG president. 

After forging the signature they allegedly withdrew the sum of 150,000 naira from the union’s account.

Therefore, Director of Finance, UZO NNAEMEKA ABRAHAM was asked to continue with his duties pending when a conclusive report is submitted to the house by the investigation committee.

NOTE: director of finance, UZOR NNAEMEKA ABRAHAM is not free from the charges levied against him, thus the investigation is still in progress.

#RESOLUTION OF THE PARLIAMENT

sequel to the first sitting of the 16th parliament held 26th February, 2020.

The Parliament resolved as follows:

√The SA and PA was inaugurated

√The Director of sport and Welfare committee was inaugurated

√The director of Finance was invited and was called to act pending when a conclusive report is submitted by the investigation committee.

√The President SUG was invited for interrogations.

In regards to this, necessary attention should be given to that.
