Gwen Stefani Finally Divorce From Gavin Rossdale By Catholic Church

Gwen Stefani's marriage to Gavin Rossdale has reportedly been annulled by the Catholic Church, five years after their split.  According to US Weekly, Gwen has been granted an annulment ahead of her marriage to Blake Shelton.

The 51-year-old singer was married to Bush singer Gavin Rossdale from 2002 to 2015, with the couple sharing three kids, Kingston, 14, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 6. Gwen later filed for divorce in 2015, with the divorce finalised the following year.

A source said: ‘Gwen was told the decision was made by the Vatican tribunal. She will be receiving the notification in writing in the next few weeks, but it’s official.’

Stefani, a devout Catholic, began the formal process of seeking an annulment back in March 2019, a year and a half before her fiance Blake popped the question in October 2020.

'Gwen’s religion has always been extremely important to her, and Blake is completely supportive of this,' a source said in March 2019.

Another source added in June 2020 that the COVID-19 pandemic had 'changed' her feelings about the wedding, which she wants to do safely.

'COVID-19 has turned their world upside down, as it has with so many families. Gwen knows she is blessed and wants to have the wedding as soon as social distancing guidelines are lifted,' the source said.

'Gwen wants to have a ceremony and reception with their family and friends,' the source added.

Sources also claimed the wedding will take place sometime early this year, at a chapel Shelton built on his Oklahoma ranch.

When they eventually tie the knot, it will be the third marriage for Shelton, and the second for Stefani.

Shelton was previously married to Kaynette Gern, with the marriage lasting from 2003 to 2006. He was also married to fellow country music artist Miranda Lambert from 2011 to 2014 before their split.
