National Day Of Mourning Held In Nigeria Today

People took to the street in Lagos especially to demand an end to the carnage across the country.

They marched to the Lagos State House of Assembly and were received by the Deputy Speaker.

They are saying the lives and memories of the victims of Mass Atrocities matter. And they will not stop calling on the Nigerian Government to secure Nigeria.

They also said Nigeria must not recognise or mourn when notable people die, and that every Nigerian life is important.

Also a memo calling out people in Abeokuta earlier today read; ”Today, 28th of May in Abeokuta, Ogun state & across the country we’ll hold solemn assemblies against insecurity in Nigeria. Join us by 10am at NUJ Secretariat, Iwe-Iroyin, Oke-Ilewo to demand accountability & security for all. #NDOM21 #NigeriaMourns #NigeriaBleeds #SecureNigeria”
