Amosun’s Convoy Shot By Mistake By Vigilante

On Tuesday evening Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and members of the State Executive Council, including commissioners and senior special assistants, escaped
death when a vigilante member allegedly shot at the Governor’s convoy in Agbado, Ifo Local Government Area of the state.

The Governor’s convoy alongside members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, were on the re-election campaign rally of the local government before the incident.
It was further gathered that the vigilante officer, whose name could not be ascertained at the time of filling this report was at the area as part of security apparatus put in place for the visiting governor.

An eye witness who pleaded anonymity hinted our correspondent that the vigilante member reportedly opened fire on the convoy even when there was no argument between him and another person.
It was gathered that, the bullet hit a White Toyota Coaster bus with number plate Ogun 12 OGGH, conveying the commissioners and SSA’s which was few vehicles away from that of the governor.

The source further said that some of the commissioners who were dozing in the bus around 10pm were confused as many of them scampered for safety.
