The President, Muhammadu
Buhari has arrived Osogbo, the Osun State capital, where he is expected to
commission some projects completed by the administration of Governor Rauf
Aregbesola.
President Buhari had been
scheduled to participate in the activities marking the 25th anniversary of the
creation of Osun state, which took place last week but was unable to make it
there.
Accompanying the President
on the visit include the Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, as well as
his Oyo and Borno States counterparts, Governors Abiola Ajimobi and Kashim
Shettima.
Security has been beefed up
at the Osogbo Government High School, site of one of the projects to be
commissioned, as policemen from the Bomb Squadron Unit as well as men of the
National Security and Civil Defence Corps were seen with sniffer dogs combing
the area.
