Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha revealed more about the strained relationship he had with the national chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomole and the minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.

The governor said the reason both chieftains of APC are not happy with him was because he did not allow them to control Imo state.

Okorocha also said in a conversation with journalists at the government House, that both Amaechi and Oshiomole have decided to support APC government candidate in the state, Uzodimma as a last resort.

Okorocha pointed out that President Buhari’s statement in the state during his presidential campaign shows the collaboration better the Action Alliance and the APC.

In a related development, the national working committee of the APC, removed Governor Rochas Okorocha from his position as Imo state campaign council coordinator.

The party’s decision came following the recommendation of the disciplinary committee set up by the Imo APC over allegations of anti-party activities levelled against the governor and others

Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu who is the party’s national publicity secretary said the national working committee of the party would meet to consider the Imo APC recommendation that Okorocha should be suspended.
He said: “What has happened in Imo shows that the APC means business. Once they have complied with all the rules, no problem. When they bring the recommendation to the NWC, we will look at it.”

A member of the party’s working committee however said Okorocha has been removed for working against the party. Okorocha had vowed to work for his son-in-law, who is the governorship candidate of the Action Alliance, Uche Nwosu, against the APC candidate, Senator Hope Uzodinma.
